Job position: Vocational Training Transformation Consultant

The PSE Vocational Training Program aims to offer the necessary skills and knowledge to our students so they can have access to good job opportunities at the end of their professional trainings.

Cambodian society is evolving very fast and with it, the labor market is undergoing major changes.

The purpose of this mission is to analyse the professional trainings that PSE offers,the current needs of the Cambodian labor market and the professional trainings offered by other large institutions in order to evaluate the relevance of our trainings, propose adjustments to the schools curriculum and the trainings duration, explore the opportunities of partnerships with other vocational training institutions and suggest new trainings or outsourcing of some of the trainings if any opportunities are identified.

Missions :

  • Conducts research and training needs analysis which reflects the relevancy of the existing trainings, anticipates new training needs and analyse the trends of skill needs in Cambodia labor market, getting information and feedback from companies in Phnom Penh.
  • Analyse the current courses that the Vocational Training Program of PSE offers, following the guidelines and priorities established by PSE Direction team, the impact on the graduate’s career development, and how it fits the interests and needs of PSE beneficiaries.
  • Explore the opportunities of creating new partnerships with other vocational trainings institutions and the possibilities of outsourcing any of our trainings.
  • Make a proposal of which new trainings PSE should offer, which ones need reinforcement and which ones are not relevant anymore.
  • Work with PSEI management team to develop objectives and design research projects and proposals.

Expériences / Formation

Education : 

Projet management, Education management, or relevant field.

Experience : 

  • Strong  experience (at least 5 years) in professional training management.
  • Work experience in Cambodia.

Skills :

  • Outstanding analytics skills are required to understand and to use information in an efficient way.
  • Strategic: be able to improve to program outcome by applying strategic thinking and making appropriate recommendations in connection with the delivery of a long-term and sustainable solution.
  • Change agent: positively engages, supports and communicates.
  • Good level of English and Khmer.

  • Knowledge and interest in Cambodian labor market evolution.
  • Big sensibility towards the people in extreme poverty situations.
