Psychosocial Agents (APS)
Georgetown University In collaboration with the Center Regional Technical Group seek to recruit the Psychosocial agents (APS) who will be posted in health facilities to help improve services in HIV care.

The main duties of psychosocial agents will include :
- Achieving educational talks on the topic of HIV testing and the importance of knowledge of one’s HIV status. He/she will educate clients on the importance of monitoring of antiretroviral therapy for life using communication media available (brochures, box images, videos, commercials, etc.
- Administer the HIV screening tool to all clients passing through the health facility at various entry points to determine eligibility for HIV testing.
- Conduct counseling sessions and testing of all clients eligible for testing within health facility and in the community (family index testing, index case testing, mobile units screening in their attachment health districts, HIV screening mass campaigns, etc.);
- Conduct pre and post counseling of HIV testing within testing entry points in facilities.
- Physically escort clients testing positive through the facility to ensure they are initiated on treatment
- Ensure effective documentation in appropriate tools
- Make daily, weekly, and monthly summary of the activities
- Attend all meetings of planning and coordination of the health facility and especially HIV care service to present progress reports
Qualification and Experience :
- A qualified Nurse or Medical Laboratory Technician or related health fields ;
- A minimum of three years’ experience working as APS in a facility providing comprehensive HIV services ;
- Being a qualified psychosocial counselor or a certified HIV tester is an added advantage ;
- Willing to work in the Center and East regions.
Salary expectation :
Successful candidates will be paid between 100,000CFA and 200,000CFA
