The selected candidate will work on several of the responsibilities listed below

  • Implement and manage the procedural processes of Board operations;
  • Work as an effective and trusted communication channel between the Board, the Committees/IAP and Management;
  • Conduct quality assurance of official documents and presentations for the Board;
  • Support informal engagements of the Board and its Committees, such as workshops or retreats;
  • Manage the election/selection processes for the Board/Committees/IAP and Board appointments of the Bank’s senior Management;
  • Support the organization of virtual and in-person events of the Board, including oversight of logistics;
  • Provide support to Board constituencies in the execution of their work, including through the facilitation of constituency meetings, technical assistance and capacity building activities, as appropriate;
  • Undertake research on governance practices and recommend continuous enhancements to strengthen operational efficiency, transparency, and procedural integrity;
  • Manage disclosure of governance information and Board decisions in accordance with the Bank’s Public Information Policy;
  • Other tasks as may be assigned by the Corporate Secretary.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 (for Associate) to 5 (for Officer) years of work experience in related fields, preferably in an international financial institution, international organization or a national government administration. Previous experience of working in or with emerging economies is of advantage.
  • Excellent understanding of governance in an institutional context, and the ability to execute governance processes effectively.
  • University degree (Bachelor’s for Associate; Master’s degree or higher for Officer) in a relevant field.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities as well as excellent cross-cultural communication and diplomatic skills with a proven track record of working with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of responsibilities, and thrive on bringing creativity and new thinking to the job.
  • Able to multitask, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
