Position Purpose

To manage multi index structured product book, Complex/ Fund /QIS Asian trading books + the GM hybrids JV.To manage multi index structured product book, Complex/ Fund /QIS Asian trading books + the GM hybrids JV.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing a PNL explanation each day and escalating any unexplained elements to their manager for sign off
  • Contribute to the implementation of operational permanent control policies and procedures in day‐to‐day business activities, such as control plan
  • Comply with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines
  • Contribute to the reporting of all incidents according to the incident management system functional aspects
  • Managing and controlling thoroughly all positions under his responsibility according to the direction and supervision of Head of Desk, and immediately escalating to Head of Desk, Head of Trading, Asia, and management, any problems arising.
  • Carrying a strong emphasis on risk management within the limits set by the risk control department, with a daily reporting on risk indicators, new positions and major changes in positions to Head of Desk and when needed Head of Trading Asia
  • Contributing to the equity derivatives trading activities so as to achieve the budgeted PNL
  • Contributing to the checking and commenting of the accuracy of market parameters where relevant e.g. dividends, index components..
  • Participating in the implementation of new trading tools and automations
  • Participating in generating trading ideas, back testing them and eventually implementing them under the supervision of the Head of desk
  • Maintaining an efficient trading /IT environment, incorporating knowledge from Head Office on the systems and trading strategies
  • Acting as a “support ” function to the sales, providing ideas of products benefiting from market condition
  • Direct contribution to BNPP operational permanent control framework

 

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

•    Good technical knowledge in Index Exotic/CSU trading
•    Good understanding of Asia Pacific equity and Equity Derivatives market.
•    Good understanding of regulatory environment in regards of Equity Derivatives businessSpecific Qualifications
•    Degree holder in Engineering or Finance
•    Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience from an international bank
