•Provide reliability engineering expertise in support of the design, construction, commissioning, start-up and operation of the ExxonMobil Huizhou Chemical Complex, including at a high level:
-Supporting Plant Business Teams and ensuring projects meet reliability objectives,
-Applying the Company Global Reliability System practices, and work processes,
-Advising the business in the proper use of reliability systems and associated tools.
-Identifying and analyzing gaps for site systems and equipment classes versus target and recommends appropriate gap closure plans,
-Developing quality fixed and non-fixed equipment strategies,
-Supporting financial risk assessment and identifying hazards, evaluating risks, and developing cost-effective solutions to eliminate or manage risks.
•Conduct and support equipment reliability investigations, perform Root Cause Failure (RCF) analysis using techniques such as Causal Factor Why Tree (CFWT) and make recommendations for solutions,
•Provide data analysis using Reliability Data/Statistical and predictive modeling to assist in shaping data-driven risk assessments as an input for decision making, including:
-Understand and apply the basic rules of continuous and discrete probability (i.e. Exponential, Normal, Lognormal, Poisson, Weibull) and principles for equipment availability and reliability, failure analysis (Random and Time-Based Failure Modes and failure patterns) and equipment strategy development,
-Apply the concepts of Fault / Event Trees to determine probability and risk of condition-based events and use Weibull Analysis to assess failure modes and probabilities of failure for equipment and recommend task selection that most cost-effectively mitigates risk.
-Analyze reliability improvement or degradation of equipment or system, using Crow-AMSAA, or Non-Homogenous Poisson Process (NHPP), methods.
-Utilize reliability metrics (e.g., failure rate, MTBF, MTTF, MTTR, MTBR) to support business objectives,
-Understand Reliability Block Diagram and Reliability and Maintenance modeling concepts and how reliability data are incorporated to form a predictive model.
-Perform equipment Life Cycle Cost Analysis for project equipment selection and reliability improvement.
•Apply Company practices in developing, upgrading and periodic validation of equipment strategies, including development through planning, team kickoff and training, Failure Mode and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) analysis facilitation, risk assessment facilitation and evaluation of task cost effectiveness, communicating equipment strategy results and obtaining approval of completed equipment strategies.
•Provide reliability engineering support for capital projects by applying the principles of the Company capital project management systems, understanding similarity, analytical and simulation methodology for developing and verifying reliability basis for capital projects.
•Use Reliability software tools (industry as well as internal to Company) effectively and efficiently to perform routine functions. Understands the application and interaction of work management computerized systems that are used to submit and process work notifications, request materials and labor resources, scheduling and documenting history of work flows and equipment inspection and repair history.
