Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) au Danemark recherche un(e) conseiller(ère) en développement.

 

 

 

 

The main responsibility of the DAs is two-fold:

  1. Ensure that MSF’s operational HR needs are met by matching suitable candidates from MSF DK’s pools of medical, paramedical, and non-medical IMS with vacant positions in the field in collaboration with the Pool Managers (PM) of the different Operational Centres (OC).
  2. Provide all IMS with the necessary support before, during, and after each deployment throughout their career with MSF DK.

For this position, we are looking for a person who is:

  • committed to MSF’s principles and values,
  • flexible, including towards working hours (evening and/or weekend work may occur),
  • stress resistant,
  • a good team player,
  • service oriented,
  • autonomous with good time management skills.

To hold this position, you must:

  • hold a bachelor’s degree,
  • have experience with HR or People Management (preferably within an international context),
  • have completed at least one mission with MSF,
  • be proficient in English both orally and in writing (proficiency in Danish and/or French is a plus).

Your main responsibilities and tasks will be to:

  • contribute to MSF DK’s IMS recruitment strategy and support recruitment activities to attract high-quality applicants in collaboration with the Recruiter,
  • participate in Assessment Centers when needed,
  • establish and maintain close, sustainable relationships with the PMs of the different OCs,
  • propose suitable candidates for vacant mobile positions,
  • search for opportunities for IMS in-between missions at the office in Copenhagen or one of the MSF HQs as part of the IMS development and retention strategy,
  • gather information on the IMS’s potential to identify and support appropriate development strategies and plans for the individual IMS,
  • maintain regular contact with all non-medical IMS before, during and after each deployment, and follow up with adequate support and career advice,
  • brief and debrief all non-medical IMS before and after each deployment,
  • coordinate and/or facilitate Global Inductions and various workshops for IMS,
  • facilitate IMS induction and training courses,
  • represent MSF DK IMS and participate in international working groups.

In addition, you may be asked to:

  • carry out short-term field assignments (gap fillings, training facilitation),
  • take on new IMS related projects and/or participate in cross-departmental activities,
  • represent HR in internal communication meetings and,
  • occasionally act as spokesperson for MSF DK.
