CHILD SAFEGUARDING:
Level 3: the post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.
ROLE PURPOSE:
To facilitate training and capacity-building activities for children and youth, in prevention, resilience, and protection interventions. S/he willwork closely withtargetat-risk children and youth to ensure their life skills, personal resilience, and psychosocial support for them.
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.
SCOPE OF ROLE:

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
- Conduct vulnerability assessments to select at-risk children and youth for entry-point activities.
- Facilitate and co-facilitate a rolling program of life skills training programs.
- Build capacity small group of interested youth who wish to participate in dialog at local and national policy levels.
- Support at-risk children and youth to engage in research initiatives led by national and regional actors.
- Support case management and livelihood activities as needed.
- Develop monthly reports reflecting the progress in the project implementation, highlighting success and challenges encountered during the implementation of activities;
- Participation of the working group in planning and implementing recreational and psychosocial support activities and setting up the monthly plan for children and parents in the community schools and implementing them.
- Ensure that activities are implemented in accordance with the Plan of Action (POA) in a timely manner and in line with the project budget;
- Ensure that the activities are implemented with full respect to the child safeguarding policies of SC.
- Contribute to the development of the project database, and monitoring system, and carry out activities according to indicators on a regular basis.
- Facilitate, when necessary, orientation sessions, workshops, follow-up visits, and other activities for the project.
- Cooperate with the team members aiming for the best interest of the child and his/her family; Reporting and documentation:
- Draft concise, useful, and analytical reports, reporting to the line manager.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in a Social Science, humanities, psychology, Or any relevant degree
- Minimum of 1-3 years of successful experience in fieldwork with children and youth.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Proven Expertise in designing and facilitating Life skills programs for children between 8 and 18 years old.
- Proven knowledge and skills in activity planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Proven expertise in child protection and Child Resilience
- Evidence of analytical understanding and a commitment to improving child rights
- Good working knowledge of English and Arabic (reading and writing).
- Good training and facilitation skills
- Familiarity with Refugees’ context is an absolute advantage
- Report writing skills required
