This is a role requiring strong PV industry technical and commercial background, project management skills, excellent judgment to support challenging situations and sound commercial acumen and contractor/vendor management skills. The Technical Project Manager will be supporting the Iberia Construction Director and Project Development Manager during pre-construction.




Activities






    

  •   During pre-construction stage:
    • 



    

  • Assists the Construction Director in preparing, coordinating, reviewing, drafting and negotiating all aspects of the EPC/BOS and supply contracts (modules, inverters, trackers, mounting structures, HV transformers, etc.);
    • 

  • Supports the Construction Director in the preparation and coordination of RFPs for EPC/BOS contractors selection, main equipment and external services;
    • 

  • Supports the Construction Director and the Business Development team during the financial structuring of the projects, including liaison with lender technical advisors.
    • 

  • CAPEX and OPEX modelling;
    • 

  • Collects and registers lessons learned from previous projects and share knowledge across the organization;
    • 

  • Coordinates the elaboration and implementation of project management processes and Engineering, H&S, QA/QC and commissioning standards in the projects under execution;
    • 

  • Supports the Construction Director and the Project Development Manager in the technical and cost evaluation of projects under development;
    • 

  • Collaborates in the design and cost optimization in coordination with the technical management team;
    • 

  • Supports the Project Development Manager in the permitting process by providing technical advice and implementing risk mitigation strategies.

Candidate profile


    

  • Senior engineer with at least seven (7) years of experience within the solar PV industry working for an EPC Contractor, BOS Contractor or well-known IPP/Project Developer;
    • 

  • Strong technical and commercial background within the solar PV Industry.
    • 

  • Specific experience working during pre-construction stage in: design and cost optimization, CAPEX and OPEX modeling, EPC/BOP RFP processes structuring and coordination, main equipment RFP processes structuring and negotiation, contract management.
    • 

  • Process driven individual with strong project management, communication, reporting and organizational skills;
    • 

  • Fluent in Spanish and English; Knowledge of French and/or Portuguese is desirable but not a must;
    • 

  • High commercial acumen and strong negotiation skills.
    • 

  • Highly self-motivated, with strong initiative and creative thinking;
    • 

  • Ability to work individually and as a team;
    • 

  • Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned country/region as required.
