Job Description
DIL is seeking full-time postdoctoral fellows to lead and contribute to work with the faculty director (Michael Kremer) and other researchers on development economics research projects. This role may be a stepping stone to a longer-term position at DIL.
Responsibilities
Research priorities will be set in conversation with the Faculty Director.
DIL will provide time to publish the postdocs’ job market paper and other papers from the PhD that are well on the road to being ready to submit to journals. In special circumstances, postdocs can pursue additional independent work, especially if this work is supported with external financing.
The postdocs will provide input on cross-cutting lab activities or DIL public goods as required.
Qualifications
- PhD in economics or related field by the start of the position;
- PhD level training in the methods of economics;
- Knowledge of and experience with field work in developing countries, preferably including running randomized control trials.
Working Conditions
Candidates must be willing to travel extensively and flexibly as needed for their respective responsibilities.
