Talents4Good is looking for a Senior Campaign Strategist for foodwatch International asap in remote in a European country [full time, part time possible]

foodwatch is a European civil society organisation (CSO) for a sustainable and democratic food system. With offices in Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, Brussels and Vienna, we fight for the right to safe and healthy food and against fraud and misleading practices of companies. We want laws that are not dictated by the agri-food industry lobby but benefit everyone and are consistently enforced by governments and authorities. foodwatch is a citizen-based watchdog in the agri-food sector. We are an independent counter-power, and do not accept any funding from governments, the food industry or the EU.
In order to advance the strategic development of our campaigns, we are looking for a dedicated Senior Campaign Strategist as soon as possible.
Your future tasks
As Senior Campaign Strategist you act as an internal consultant on the international campaigns of foodwatch, bring in your ideas to increase the engagement of our supporters and strengthen our campaign teams with your advice. Therefore, you work closely with the foodwatch campaign teams, the International Campaign Director and the Head of Brussels Office.
This means in particular:
- As an internal sparring person, you support our campaign groups in their strategy development. Your practical campaigning experience helps to strengthen our campaigns.
- You come up with creative campaign elements to win over our supporters to actively participate in our campaigns and make them even more efficient.
- You are a linking element between the campaign teams and the management team.
- You keep an eye on individual competencies and strengths and are responsible for identifying further education and training needs of the whole campaigns team. You will develop a long-term curriculum to enhance the skills and knowledge of our campaigners. You organize internal and external trainings.
- You consistently stay informed about significant EU policies. Moreover, you identify relevant new trends and opportunities for new campaign ideas and drive them forward. Therefore, you keep in touch with relevant stakeholders on the European level.
- As part of the role, you will regularly travel to our national offices, meetings in Berlin or Frankfurt with the foodwatch international team or other relevant stakeholders.
Experiences
- You have several years of experience in campaigning and have become acquainted with different campaigning contexts. Working in an international context is not unfamiliar to you;
- You have a solid understanding of the EU legislation processes. You are proficient in political decision-making processes and know how to exert influence;
- With your creative mindset, you act as a source of innovative ideas while maintaining a pragmatic approach;
- Reflecting on your own role, you understand that solutions often arise through teamwork and can adapt accordingly;
- Should there be a need to talk, you are happy to be the first to pick up the phone;
- You are fluent in English;
- An additional asset is a background in natural sciences, agriculture or other foodwatch related topics.
