Under the responsibility of the Senior General Manager Credit & Trade Finance


The position sits within the credit team in charge of the counterpart portfolio risk for mainly West and East African countries.



    

  1. Assist the Credit Analysts in the annual review and the day-to-day management of the counterpart portfolio.
    2. 

  2. Member of a team handling over 400 counterparties representing an estimated revenue of 900M$ per annum of delivered oil products.
    3. 



The intern will assist the team members on their operational activities:


    

  1. Update of the credit risk profile of existing counterparties.
    2. 



    

  1. Action: KYC (Know Your Customer) analysis of each counter-party.
    2. 

  2. Tools: Familiar with operational procedures such as KYC.
    3. 



    

  1. Macro and Micro view of the Oil sector.
    2. 



    

  1. Action: Collect and analyse market intelligence data, follow-up of counter-parties in the portfolio.
    2. 

  2. Tools: Familiar with competitive strategy analysis techniques.
    3. 



    

  1. Review of credit limits on counter-parties in the portfolio.
    2. 



    

  1. Action: credit risk analysis, and preparation of credit risk summary including recommendation on credit limits, terms, risk mitigation and where applicable country risk analysis.
    2. 

  2. Tools: Familiar with financial and macro analysis techniques.
    3.

Candidate profile


This internship is for students in the final year of their master degree. Profiles sought are LLM in Finance, Master in Management with major in Finance or law, or Business school with major in law.



    

  • Previous experience in a Financial Institution or a Compliance Department is a plus
    • 

  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
    • 

  • Good knowledge of both French and English is required.
    • 

  • Knowledge of Power BI and/or VBA is highly desirable.
    •
