Main Responsibilities

Analysis, drafting and implementation support :

  • Undertake quantitative and qualitative analyses and literature reviews;
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of qualitative or quantitative methods;
  • Draft chapters and boxes in thematic reports and working papers;
  • Draft other documents, including blogs, policy briefs, seminar proceedings, meeting documents and mission reports;
  • Contribute to the facilitation and organisation of expert workshops;
  • Contribute, as required, to horizontal and multidisciplinary projects and other outputs of the Directorate for Education and Skills and the OECD.

Representation, liaison and communication :

  • Represent the OECD in relevant international and national settings, delivering presentations and disseminating OECD analysis through relevant channels;
  • Establish and maintain professional contacts with relevant external organisations and individuals;
  • Ensure effective working relationships with experts, stakeholder groups and country representatives.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Academic Background

  • An advanced university degree in psychology, economics, political or social sciences, computer science or other cognitive sciences, or a similar discipline.

Professional Background :

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in psychology, economics, computer science, engineering or other cognitive sciences, technology, innovation, skills and education research or other public policy domains in a research institute, company or an international or national agency;
  • Proven capacity to conduct literature reviews; analyse and interpret quantitative and qualitative information; and draft and communicate effectively main analyses and findings;
  • Excellent track record in organising and summarising complex material and draft clearly for both specialised and non-specialised audiences. Capacity to write well-organised, clear, and precise prose;
  • Experience in facilitating and organising expert or stakeholder workshops;
  • Knowledge of skills taxonomies and human skills testing methods and/or familiarity with AI capability assessments and AI performance evaluation methods;
  • Familiarity with survey methodology.

Tools

  • Proficiency with standard MS Office software;
  • Use of statistical tools such as Stata, R, SAS or SPSS.

Languages

  • Fluency in one of the two OECD official languages (English and French) and knowledge of the other, with a commitment to reach a good working level;
  • Knowledge of other languages would be an asset.

Contract Duration

  • One-year fixed term appointment, with the possibility of renewal.
