Avis de recrutement : SOS Méditerranée recrute un(e) Responsable de la communication en anglais basé en France.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The person will:
- assess the existing English content and develop a strategy;
- define priorities for content production and dissemination;
- coordinate the production in English of narratives and tools in different formats -print, leaflet, flyer, videos…;
- manage existing digital communication tools;
- monitor and benchmark best practices in English communication.
Strategy
In link with the communications team of the network and operations, the English communication manager will develop an English communication strategy to address key priorities for SOS MEDITERRANEE.
Content production
In link with SOS MEDITERRANEE teams and according to priorities defined for international development: he/she will produce, translate, and edit news to create English communication content: written, print, and audio-visual, online… The person will also update and edit English communication contents.
Digital communication
The person will be responsible of the new English website management, editorial strategy and updates. She/he wil support social media communication in English and update – support other digital contents.
International media relations
The person will monitor media clipping about SOS MEDITERRANEE in international (English) media. On top, in connection with the operations communications team and the international development director, he/she will identify priorities for media contacts and engagement to support SOS MEDITERRANEE’s search and rescue mission.
Reporting
The person will report on international English communication activities and impact.
Internal communication
The person will participate in weekly ISCC international communications coordination meeting. She/he will assess the needs of internal communications tools in English for the network and will share news on the development of reach in English with internal audiences.
Budget
Along with the International development director, the person will define and manage the budget for English communications.
PROFILE
- 5 years of relevant professional experience in communication and/or journalism;
- Experience in navigating complex organisations;
- Master’s degree in communication, political science or international relations;
- English native speaker and a 2nd language of the network French, German, Italian or Arab would be an asset;
- Excellent writing skills;
- Polyvalent, reactive, autonomous, rigorous and creative;
- Experience in media management;
- Experience in using WordPress or other CMS;
- Ability to use Adobe suite and video editing;
- Knowledge of using MS Windows suite;
- Knowledge of using social media;
- Strong project management skills;
- Committed to the vision, mission, and values of SOS MEDITERRANEE.
