Overview
To provide assistance for research implementation and management, especially related to the sustainable trade and jurisdictional approach for oil palm development, also community-based mangrove restoration.
Duties and responsibilities
Assisting research implementation.
- Contribute to protocol development and implementation of data collection (primary and secondary),
- Managing collected data,
- Assisting data analysis as required in research protocol,
- Organizing and facilitating in-person or remote workshops, FGDs, field visits, and fieldwork as well as events related to the project.
- Contributing to the content of research reports and scientific publications.
Assisting project management.
- Handling in administration matters related to research implementation e.g. travel, event, and research expenses management and reporting, drafting and checking the content of letter for research.
- Assisting in organizing and preparing content for communication products related to project activities.
- Assisting in stakeholder relations related to research implementation e.g. project partners, resource persons, vendors etc.
Other Responsibilities
- Contribute to supporting activities within research team e.g. data collection for proposal development, etc.
Education, knowledge and experience
- Familiar with forestry, agricultural, or natural resource management context and issue in Indonesia, especially related to oil palm.
- Experienced in conducting primary and secondary data collection activities
- Experienced with research implementation.
- Good command in written and oral English.
- Experience in general data analysis methods
- Good command in Microsoft Office application, especially Ms.Excel for developing database of data collection results.
Personal attributes and competencies
- Willing to travel to the project site for conducting research activities.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with people in a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural environment and be able to adapt with new normal conditions.
- Good personal organizational and priority setting skills, with the ability to work effectively under time pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Capable of working independently as well as being an effective team player, with initiative and creativity.
