Palladium recruits a Consultant for Indonesian Chairmanship for ASEAN Health Sectoral Body in Jakarta

Project Overview and Role:

Palladium is appointed by USAID to manage USAID-funded Health technical Assistance Project (BANTU), to support USAID Indonesia’s Country Development Cooperation Strategy (CDCS) by rapidly leveraging specialized short and long-term technical assistance to USAID, USAID-funded programs; the Government of Indonesia (GOI), and other organizations and agencies as required.

We are currently seeking one (1) Consultant to work closely with the Bureau of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia and the Indonesian Chairmanship for ASEAN Health Sectoral Body. 

 

 Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Indonesia is the Chair of the ASEAN Health Ministers Meeting (AHMM) and Senior Officials Meeting on Health Development (SOMHD) for the period of 2020-2022. As the ASEAN health sectoral Chair, Indonesia will coordinate the fulfillment of ASEAN Sectoral Ministerial Bodies following ASEAN Charter. The Bureau of International Cooperation (BIC) of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia (MOH) as the contact point/alternate of AHMM Indonesian Focal Point (Minister of Health) and SOMHD (Secretary-General) is in need for technical assistance to support Indonesian Chairmanship in producing its deliverables and maintain SOMHD/AHMM Indonesia daily communication effectively. In this regard, the BIC requests support from USAID.

Palladium is recruiting for Indonesian (local hire) of one (1) Consultant to be seconded to the BIC of the MOH. This is a full-time position, based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The consultant will develop, finalize and facilitate endorsement of concept notes of the Chairmanship deliverables. The individual will also develop and finalize the fine first draft of output documents under the deliverables as well as support and monitor its finalization.

Required Qualifications:

A minimum of Bachelor’s degree preferably in health/social science with 5 years of professional experience in international cooperation preferably at ASEAN Health context, high proficiency in spoken and written English proven by Certificate of IELTS 7.5 or equivalent TOEFL score, solid familiarity with ASEAN structure, instrument and procedure, proven interest in health issue, analytical skills at the policy level and proven record in successful project development and implementation, and strong communication skills in writing (analytical texts, proposal/concept note, summary TOR, strategic plan) and orally (meeting, presentation) including in using social media and familiar with video conference.
