Key Activities and Tasks
The Junior Consultant will provide support and backstopping to the Senior Team of the PAI Unit. Activities will include but not be limited to the following:
Technical support in private sector operations for the Private Sector Financing Programme (PSFP).
- Assist Investment Officers in the internal processing of private sector non-sovereign operations (NSOs) projects by drafting commercial and financial proposals;
- Support NSOs pipeline business development through online search and exchange with internal and external stakeholders;
- Support the pre-screening of potential NSOs prospects against selection criteria;
- Provide technical financial analysis and assessment of audited financial statements of companies;
- Identify and input financial data in the appropriate excel templates;
- Perform estimation and design scenarios in excel (projections);
- Support PAI in NSOs portfolio management including monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of NSOs¿ development outcome indicators; tracking NSOs financial situation and main risks; drafting of Waivers, and Amendments; drafting of supervision reports of the NSO projects;
- Prepare presentations for fundraising efforts, and technical inputs for strategic papers for IFAD Senior Management meetings;
- Other duties may be assigned depending on the unit¿s priorities and deliverables.

Minimum qualifications/requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Education: University degree in accounting, economics, agricultural finance, corporate finance or related field.
Experience : Minimum 3-year work experience relevant to the job description (including internship)
Language
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language;
- French and Spanish are considered an advantage.
