The Data Analyst is a key role for the region supporting the operations worldwide analyzing the data collected and delivering outstanding reports and presentations to our partners and donors. This role will guide new initiatives regarding data analysis and collection tools.

Your Responsibilities

The Data Analyst will support the Data team on the following areas of focus:

Data Analysis (40%)

  • Analyze unstructured data on daily basis as it is refreshed to track trends in topics.
  • Assist various testing and optimization efforts by performing analysis of information from multiple data sources to support data informed decision making at all levels.
  • Work with internal engineering teams on a regular basis to provide feedback and identify areas of potential improvement.
  • Troubleshoot data quality issues.

Reporting (40%)

  • Work with partners to define reports and new visualizations as needed.
  • Conduct presentations to different stakeholders (High-level of English).
  • Elaborate and update dynamic reports in different tech tools (visualizations).
  • Analyze and write reports based on the data findings.

Define the Future (20%)

  • Contribute to the development of our product by sharing learnings and insights with the Tech and Executive team.
  • Participate in discussions with the Global team to define strategy and next steps.
  • Support other regions (i.e. LATAM, Africa) sharing learnings and good practices.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED & ABILITIES NEEDED

  • 3 year degree, BA/ BS or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years of experience in analytical role.
  • Successful in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and ability to “see the big picture” while performing short-term results
  • Able to analyze, model, and interpret large volumes of raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Ability to create stories around data.
  • Fluency in MS Excel.
  • High English and Arab level (speaking, writing, and reading) is a must.
  • Experience building & delivering presentations (High-level of English).
  • Hands-on experience working with unstructured data is a plus
  • Python programming, experience with numpy, pandas, Scikit-Learn, is a plus
  • SQL experience is a plus
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as: Tableau, Google Data Studio, Power Bi etc would be desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure and rapidly respond to requirements and ability to handle time effectively and comfortable in a deadline driven environment.
