Appel à manifestation d’intérêt : Handicap International recrute un(e) Responsable des opérations d’urgence en cas de tremblement de terre en Jordanie, Syrie.
DESCRIPTION :
Reporting to the Hub Manager, as Operations Manager, you contribute to the implementation of the mandate of Humanity & Inclusion. You ensure optimal quality and the impact of the projects implemented in your area by means of a delegation system with appropriate oversight mechanisms. With all the other HI managers, you share responsibility for the sound management and effective functioning of the global organisation through paradigm changes.
Mission 1: Strategy and steering
– Contribute to the development of the programme operational strategy, and to its implementation and annual monitoring
– Implement the project part of the Programme’s Operational Strategy, including through donor proposal development
– Contribute to organisational transformation, particularly through changes to managerial practices,
continuous improvement, and contribute to the improvement of working process
Mission 2: Standards and expertise
– Ensure deployment and compliance with HI global frameworks, institutional policies and standards
Mission 3: Operational implementation
– Through Project Managers, ensure the sound management and monitoring of projects under your responsibility, including donor compliance and donor reporting
– Keeping both potential opportunities and risks in mind, contribute to the monitoring and analysis done by the line manager, and propose mitigation measures where relevant
– Develop HI’s external influence (forums, operational and strategic alliances, etc) and the external representation of the organisation (events, media) in your area of responsibility
– Coordinate the teams in your area
Mission 4: Emergency Preparedness and Response
– Lead the emergency preparedness actions in your department and, in the event of a new emergency, reorganize the priorities of your team according to the humanitarian priority, in order to ensure a quick and efficient response by HI.
PROFIL:
• You hold a generalist bachelor’s or master’s degree (Political Science, etc.) or a degree in project management (Bioforce, etc.) or equivalent professional experience.
• You have at least 5 years of professional work experience in the humanitarian or development sector with at least 3 years of professional experience as Programme/Operations Coordinator, Area Manager or equivalent positions;
• You have a proven experience in high-level representation with donors, partners and authorities and in proposal writing and fundraising
• You have advanced skills in project design and proposal writing in English
• You are fluent English is mandatory (oral and written)
• You show strong organizational skills, you are autonomous and reactive
