The Youth Education Officer is responsible for project implementation, staff management, liaising with stakeholders and field-level reporting.
Generic responsibilities (max 10)

- Prepare and develop status reports as required by management

- Liaise and collaborate with relevant local authorities and other key stakeholders
- Make decisions on the ground with limited or remote supervision
Specific responsibilities
- Implement education and TVET activities under direction of the Team Leader and Project Manager.
- Supervise project team (Youth Education Assistants and incentive volunteers), provide support to them in line with programme objectives.
- In coordination with the line manager, develop monthly activity work plan of Youth Programme activities and supervision of implementation.
- Regularly plan and liaise with other NRC programmes and support unites to ensure complementary of intervention; and identify opportunities for integration.
- Prepares bi-monthly reports on programme activities, ensures M&E correctly conducted and reported, and document technical issues and questions, and channel to the line manager.
- Monitor spending and purchase requests as assigned by line manager and ensure proper follow up with logistics and field teams
- Regularly travel to the field to support education, TVET, and recreation activities.
- Any other task relevant to the position as requested by line manager.

Responsible for tracking procurements against given budget.

Responsible for weekly and monthly reports and indicator tracking; assistance with donor reports, annual reports and logframe updates required
Legal or compliance:
Responsible for reporting any Code of Conduct violation or Child Protection concerns to PM immediately

Context/ Specific skills, knowledge and experience:
- Understanding of the circumstances, needs and challenges Libyan and migrant youth face
- Knowledge of the basics of child protection and/or psychosocial support
- Experience working with youth through recreation and/or vocational training.
- Experience and solid understanding of TVET sector in Libya
- Strong organizational and planning skills and ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously
- Excellent interpersonal skills, team management and leadership
We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 3 years of experience working in youth education and livelihood project implementation. Previous experience working with adolescents and youth in livelihood/training.
