Specific Post Environment
You will work in a division of around 20 people. The division consists of three main teams: the market data management team, the borrowing and treasury team and loans support team.
The Loan Support Team is involved in the coordination of related business projects related to the CLM application and provides financial support to its user community. It also leads and coordinates CLM adaptations for other transversal initiatives affecting the lending activities.
You will report to the Loan Support Head of Unit. He/she will co-operate closely with the other teams of the Division and will be in working contact with CLM users in such Bank’s Directorates as FI (Finance), OPS (Operations), FC (Financial Control), PMM (Portfolio Management and Monitoring) and RM (Risk Management) regarding business aspects, and with IT about technical aspects.
Accountabilities
- Actively participate in projects relating to Bank’s operations:
- Act as a project manager on business projects in the Lending area (e.g. new product implementation, new functionality introduction, WSS-CLM Upgrades, etc.).
- Participate as a business analyst in Bank-wide projects and ensure the setup of the different process going from implementing new products based on the design and definition received to the implementation in emergency mode of appropriate actions like Covid19 financial forbearance measures.
- Take an active part of the support processes related to the implementation and running of the CLM application and associated data mainly in the Finance Directorate, Risk Management Directorate, Operation Directorate, Transaction Management and Restructuring Directorate and Financial Control Directorate in order to ensure optimum efficiency and reliability of the applications and related financial data, and user’s satisfaction.
- Provide functional support to business users in FI Directorate, Ops Directorate, PMM Directorate, RM Directorate and FC Directorate.
- Analyse business requirements, specifications, impact on business processes, rules, procedures and resources.
- Organise regular meetings with WSS-CLM users and IT to be aware of their needs, to keep them informed and to priorities and co-ordinate WSS-CLM related work.
- Register change requests in ticketing system, follow up and document resolutions.
- Maintain catalogue of outstanding WSS issues with description, priority, perspectives for resolution.
- Design and execute User Acceptance Tests (UAT) test plans to ensure that business requirements and functional specifications are implemented properly and meet objectives. (e.g. review and definitions of rules, reports and activities).
- Produce reporting documents.
- Organise and manage training sessions as required.
- Handle errors and other incidents including business-side analysis, initiation of appropriate remedy actions or temporary workarounds, follow-up of resolution in co-operation with IT, end-users, and potentially the software provider.
- Document non FI-PRO workarounds in the workaround inventory.
- Provide specific advice and recommendations in a proactive way in complex issues in the functional areas covered by WSS-CLM e.g. Lending or Guarantee processes, in order to foster optimal solution and to enable the user community to reach the EIB’s objectives and align EIB with best practices.
Qualifications
- Full University degree preferably in business administration, finance or computer science, with relevant experience in IT project management.
- At least 3 years relevant experience in the financial sector or business consultant companies, including but not limited to IT project management, business analysis.
- Knowledge and experience of project management principles, methods and practices (e.g. PM²).
- Good understanding of the EIB mission and activities.
- Functional knowledge of software products/packages used in the assigned functional area of the EIB would be a nice to have (e.g. WallStreet Suite CLM and/or Finance Kit Borrowings & Treasury [WSS TRM]).
- Good understanding of the business activities and data supported by own application in the lending and treasury areas (e.g. loan guarantee equities).
- Knowledge of the IT applications architecture would be an advantage.
- Excellent knowledge of English and/or French (*), with a good command of the other. Knowledge of other EU languages would be an advantage.
