Consultance : Le Fond Européen d’Investissement recrute un Analyste/gestionnaire des risques sur actions à Luxembourg.
Operating network:
You will work within the Equity Risk Management Unit and will report to the relevant Head of Unit, who in turn reports to the Head of Transaction Portfolio Risk Division. Working in close cooperation with the other Unit/Division members, you will have extensive contacts with colleagues in Risk Management, Front Office, Legal and other departments of the EIB Group.
Responsibilities:
At a level commensurate with your experience and seniority, you will:
- Assess the risks associated with individual transactions brought forward by EIF’s business lines (i.e. Venture Capital, Lower Midmarket, Technology Transfer Accelerator) and draft respective independent opinions;
- Perform reviews and provide advice and recommendations on the performance of transactions and recommendations on the performance of transactions and financial intermediaries;
- Significantly contribute to the independent valuation exercise for EIF’ secondary sales operation;
- Contribute to the development, improvement, and implementation of best practices, guidelines, procedures and risk management tools (including monitoring tools) suitable for the specific needs and analysis of EIF’s business;
- Attend on-site Due Diligence together with front office colleagues to perform the risk assessment individual transactions;
- Contribute to horizontal projects within EIF and across the entire EIB Group;
- Closely follow evolution of the market environment and assist more senior colleagues in providing analytical, research and other professional support as required.
Qualifications:
- At least three (3) years of post-graduation (after having obtained your initial university diploma) relevant professional experience at the same level of responsibility in the financial sector or other IFIs;
- University degree, preferably at post-graduate level, in Finance, Banking, Economics, or related subjects. Additional professional or academic qualifications (i.e. CFA, CAIA, Ph.D., MBA) would be considered an asset;
- Solid proven experience of direct equity and venture capital fund operations (for Venture Capital, Private Equity profiles) is a requirement; experience in secondary sales, valuations or infrastructure would be considered an advantage;
- Knowledge of standard computer tools (mainly Ms Excel);
- Excellent knowledge of English, both oral and written. Knowledge of other EU languages would be an advantage.
