Overall objective:
Your overall objective is to assist the CFM team in further automating cash operations, by means of assisting in data management targeted at automation (i.e., entry, reconciliation and monitoring).
Responsibilities:
Under the responsibility of a (Senior) Officer, you shall:
- Contribute to the automation of ongoing and future mandate data management in e-front, such as mandate payment instructions;
- Participate to system enhancements, by means of populating additional fields on cash operations regarding (equity) mandates and in this respect contribute to the finalisation of historical input of mandate data in e-front, where applicable.
- Using the existing data pools, contribute to the calculation, the enhancement of monitoring as well as data processing and reporting by means of building relevant dashboards in Business Objects and Tableau, Power Query and Alteryx as the case may be.
Expected outcome:
The traineeship will allow you to:
- obtain an in-depth overview of EIF’s lines of business (mandates, debt and equity transactions) as well as their interactions;
- More specifically you will learn about EIF cash flow processes and procedures (drawdowns, repayments, guarantee calls, recoveries, capital calls, returns of funds, waterfalls etc.) in the context of data monitoring and automation;
- In addition, you will be able to get a first-hand experience on several data storage, reconciliation and reporting systems e.g. e-Front, Business Objects, Tableau, Accurate etc.
At the end of the traineeship, you will have contributed to the progress of our division-wide project of data automation, reconciliation and monitoring.
Qualifications:
- University degree (or on-going studies at an advanced stage) in Finance, Economics, Business, Data Management or any related subject;
Competencies:
Technical/Professional Knowledge & Skills required
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office suite, notably Excel;
- Knowledge and understanding of EIF’s mission and activities;
- Knowledge of Business Objects and/or e-Front would be a plus;
Experience required (if applicable)
- Ease with IT applications and understanding of data flows;
- Excellent written and spoken English. Knowledge of other EU languages considered an asset.
