About the Position
To provide efficient and effective services as a driver for the operations and program of the Malawi Office and assist the Administrative department in carrying out assigned tasks in order to have an efficient delivery in office operations.
- Accounts receivable (sales orders) & payroll/pension administration.
- Banking and cash management.
- Advance and liquidation management.
- Month end closure.
The successful candidate has key responsibilities in the following areas:
- Providing driving service to WorldFish projects and general office operations according to official assignments.
- Collecting and delivering mail and carrying out other errands as assigned.
- Keeping WorldFish vehicles clean, well maintained, timely serviced and repaired.
- Compiling logbooks and generating fuel analysis reports.
- Compiling vehicle maintenance cost analysis reports on a quarterly basis.
- Maintaining list of vehicles listed with Ministry of Foreign affairs as well as supporting registration and deregistration processes for such vehicles.
- Assist in organizing special events, meetings, workshops and conferences.
- Support with Visa for WorldFish Zambia visitors.
- Assist with facilitation of duty travel arrangements for staff/ projects (local and international travel.
- Support with procurement for office requirements.
- Assist in managing office assets and ensure their appropriate insurance coverage, update of asset register and accountable use of the assets.
- General office support as assigned by supervisor and other senior staff
Requirements
This job is open to Malawi Nationals with the following skills and qualifications:
- At least 3 years of driving skills and clean record as a professional driver experience preferably with an INGO;
- High level of organization and planning skills;
- Demonstrate experience skills in vehicle maintenance management;
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
Experience with financial and accounting systems in international NGOs in Malawi.
