Background
The International Rescue Committee responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people to survive and rebuild their lives. Founded in 1933 at the request of Albert Einstein, IRC offers life-saving care and life-changing assistance to refugees forced to flee from war or disaster. IRC’s work in Mexico supports migrant populations throughout the country – those in transit and those who see Mexico as a destination. Current program areas include cultural orientation, a range of protection activities, and support for livelihoods.
Job Overview
The communications consultancy will support the country program with the development of a communications strategy and of key products that will enable the senior management team to execute the communications strategy. The consultancy will generate content and a communication plan to encourage r engagement but also to broaden and deepen the commitment of current donors and other key audiences through an exposition of information about IRC’s presence in Mexico and its vision for the future.

Generate content and communication products
Week 1 – Payment 40%
Product 1. Comprehensive Communications Strategy prioritizing 2021-2022. For the country office, internal and external. Included but not limited to:
- Definition of communication goals ;
- Identification of key (audiences internal and external) ;
- Development and delivery of editable communication materials and content in Spanish and English including but not limited to Business Development needs and dissemination of current needs assessment.
Week 4 – Payment 20%
Product 2. Produce a manual of images for internal and external communication, including but not limited to infographics, graphics and icons related to IRC programs.

Organize and conduct an external dissemination event
Week 7 – Payment 40%
Product 3. Launch Event: Organize and execute a launch event aligned with the goals and audiences identified in the communications strategy.

Profil
Requirements
- BA/BS in communications, international relations, management, administration, or other relevant fields; MA/MS a plus ;
- Expertise in strategy development and implementation in iNGOs, Bilateral and Multilateral Organizations, Corporate Foundations, and other related organizations (3+ years) ;
- Strong written and oral communication skills, effective in representation and liaison with external parties ;
- Interpersonal qualities: Works well in and promotes teamwork, flexible and able to handle pressure with professional grace ;
- Proven leadership quality. Ability to guide while promoting a supportive and open work environment ;
- Fluent in spoken and written English and Spanish.
