Norwegian Refugee Council recrute un conseiller principal en collecte de fonds et partenariats, Oslo, Norvège

Job Description:

NORCAP, part of the Norwegian Refugee Council, solves challenges in the humanitarian, development and peacebuilding sectors in order to better protect vulnerable people’s lives and rights. We build partnerships, promote more effective ways of working and provide skilled experts to develop capacity. Since 1991 NORCAP has provided expertise to approximately 10,000 missions across the globe.

We work with and through our partners to address challenges via three core activities:

  • We develop partnerships with regional and global organisations and national stakeholders. We believe working together in a coordinated and sustainable manner is the best way to reduce needs, risks and vulnerability over time.
  • We seek and promote more effective ways of working at the global level and in the field. Our aim is not only to reduce needs, but also to create choice and opportunity for vulnerable people.
  • We deploy skilled experts to develop our partner’s capacity. Given their independence from agendas and interests of the organisations they are deployed to, our experts are well placed to identify and address challenges, improve collaboration and encourage new and innovative approaches.

In order to deliver even more effectively on our core activities, NORCAP has gone through an organisational development process aimed at making NORCAP Fit for the 2020’s. One of the outcomes of this process is the establishment of the Innovation, Business development and Analysis (IBA) section. Professionalising our fundraising work and building new strategic partnerships is an integral part of achieving the goals for the new section and the overall ambitions of NORCAP.

You will be responsible for maintaining and potentially expanding existing funding streams, and to identify and engage with potential new donors. You will also play a critical role in the internal professionalisation of the business development processes in NORCAP. To this end, key responsibilities include:

  • To strengthen NORCAP’s strategic relationship with donors and represent NORCAP in relevant fora.

  • To manage and drive funding processes within NORCAP, including identifying and instigating new opportunities, strengthening and building strategic partnerships and establishing formal agreements with donors.
  • To monitor and investigate potential engagement with tenders and other for-profit modalities.
  • To contribute to the development of action plans, priority processes and strategic documents in the section.
  • To collaborate with teams on innovation and business development to ensure learning and capturing of best practices.
  • To advise colleagues on NORCAP’s relations with donors, potential funding opportunities and compliance issues
  • To ensure that NORCAP’s donor relations are adequately reflected in internal and external communication.

We can offer:

  • A dynamic work environment where this position will be key to drive and support internal professionalisation of business development processes, drawing on NORCAP successes in building key thematic portfolios, such as Cash & Markets (CashCap), Energy & Climate, Gender and Protection (GBV REGA, ProCap & GenCap) and Education.
  • Strongly committed, challenging and international work environment in a large, world-renowned humanitarian organisation.
  • The position is a full-time, permanent position at our Head Office in modern locations in central Oslo.
  • Salary by agreement, good pension and insurance schemes.
