This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this Project that appeared in UNDB online and the African Development Bank website on 17th February 2016 and the New Vision and Daily Monitor on Thursday 25th February 2016.

The Government of Uganda has received financing from the African Development Bank toward the cost of the Farm Income Enhancement and Forestry Conservation Programme -Project-2 (FIEFOC-2). It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for Procurement of Rice Value Addition Equipment: 30No Rice Threshers (25No portable engine powered rice threshers and 5No Heavy-duty engine powered Rice threshers), 25No Rice Reapers and 5No Walking Tractors.

The Ministry of Water and Environment now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Procurement of Rice Value Addition Equipment : 30No Rice Threshers (25No portable engine powered rice threshers and 5No Heavy-duty engine powered Rice threshers), 25No Rice Reapers and 5No Walking Tractors.

A complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased by interested bidders upon submission of written application to the above address and upon payment of a Non-Refundable fee of UGX 100,000 (Uganda Shilling One Hundred Thousand Only). The money will be paid to the bank with the bank slips obtained from the Ministry of Water and Environment Accounts section. No cash will be accepted.

The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the Provisions of the African Development Bank’s Standard Bidding Document for Procurement of goods

Bids must be delivered to Procurement and Disposal Unit, Ministry of Water and Environment Kabalega Crescent Road, Luzira, Kampala on or before 11:00 am on 1st September 2020 and must be accompanied by a bid security in form of a bank guarantee worth UGX 70,000,000 (Uganda Shillings Seventy Million Only)

Bids must remain valid for 120 days after the deadline for submission prescribed above

Bids will be opened in presence of bidders’ representatives who chose to attend at 11:30 am on 1st September 2020 at Procurement and Disposal Unit, Ministry of Water and environment Kabalega Crescent, Luzira, Kampala.
