Institut mondial de la croissance verte (GGGI) recrute un(e) Stagiaire en communication pour l’Ouzbékistan.
Internship objective
The internship position will be with the GGGI Uzbekistan Country Office (CO) in Tashkent. The intern will work closely with the GGGI Country Office team members in Tashkent and project team members in Nukus, under the direct supervision of the CO Communication Focal Point in close collaboration with the Project Manager and Project Associate. S/he will support the implementation of the CO Communication Plan, covering outreach activities under the Aral Sea GRIP Project, Technical assistance for piloting SEA, Business Development Platform (BDP) operations and overall Country Office (CO) Communication Plan. S/he will also assist in monitoring and tracking of relevant communication channels as well as the creation of communication products, closely liaising with the Nukus Office.
More specifically, s/he will:
A. Communication Plan Implementation
- Support content development for press releases, newsletters, and/or web and social- media posts (Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Assist in organizing major advocacy, meetings, and events
- Support data visualization by creating infographics and visual reports
- Translate communication and project-related materials and support publication of knowledge products by translating and editing in English, Uzbek, and Russian
- Assist with the graphic design and layout of knowledge products, presentations, and research documents
- Assist in producing, obtaining, and managing high-quality photos and video clips
- Monitor communication plan implementation by tracking communication channels’ updates
- Conduct weekly media monitoring for the Country Office
- Support the engagement of the stakeholders by regularly consolidating and updating the list of project stakeholders
- Liaise with the Communications focal point and prepare monthly updates on knowledge products and press releases to HQ comms teams
- Support timely updating project website ‘GGKP’
- Organize official letters (incoming, outgoing) folders
B. Business Development Platform Operation
- Support uploading multiple content and information products in the BDP
- Develop content for newsletters, web, and social media posts relevant to the BDP
- Support managing the BDP’s Telegram channel
- Monitor BDP outreach efforts by tracking communication channel updates and social-media statistics
C. Others
- Other tasks as required by the Country Office.: support Project Coordination and Admin Associate in event management activities.
Eligibility
Applicants to the GGGI internship program must at the time of application one of the following requirements:
- Be enrolled in a Bachelor’s (final year), Master’s or PhD program prior to internship assignment, or a recent graduate within the last 12 months.
- Be engaged or recently engaged in academic study in a field directly related to the Institute’s work, such as Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, ICT, International Development, or other related fields.
- Graphic design skills and experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and others.
- Computer literacy in standard office software applications.
- Possess an excellent command of English, Uzbek and Russian.
- Master’s or PhD program will be an advantage.
- Knowledge in Karakalpak language is a plus.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Duration: The internship program is for at least three months and up to six months. Once selected, interns must begin your internship either prior to or within 12 months of graduation.
Stipend: GGGI interns receive a monthly stipend of USD $500 per month (unless agreed to be funded by sponsoring institutions). All costs related to travel, insurance, accommodation, and living expenses must be borne by either the interns themselves or sponsoring institutions.
Visa: GGGI will provide a supporting letter for visa. Interns will be responsible for obtaining and financing the necessary visas.
Travel: Intern will arrange and finance their travel to the internship location.
Medical Insurance: Interns must present proof of valid medical insurance to GGGI upon returning the signed internship contract.
Confidentiality: Interns must keep confidential any and all unpublished information obtained during the course of the internship and may not publish any documents based on such information.
Academic Credit: Interns may get academic credit from their institution of higher education for the internship. Interns need to check with their university to confirm their academic credit policy for internships.
Working Hours: interns are expected to work during normal working hours. Leave should be pre-approved by the Intern Manager, and the latter should inform the Office of HR accordingly.
Learning Outcomes: before completion of the internship, Intern Managers are expected to review the learning outcomes with the intern.
Certificate: provided upon successful completion of the internship, upon request.
