About the role
We are looking for a positive and forward-thinking Treasury Operations Executive to support the Treasury Operations team with their day-to-day operational processes, enabling them to deliver on a series of projects. Using the Treasury Management System (TMS), they will process and account for all bank transactions to ensure transparency, visibility and an updated liquidity position and provide regular bank reconciliation in line with organisational month-end requirements.
Key duties will include:
Preparing and processing all bank entries across bank accounts in the UK business unit, Italy, USA, Sweden and Norway using the Kyriba TMS
Preparing manual uploads of transactions where necessary
Complete reconciliation each month end
Preparing and processing accounting journals for returned payments
Investigating queries
Monthly reconciliations
Filing and Audit preparation
This role can be worked flexibly – and reconciliations need to be carried out daily – so our preference would be for the successful applicant to work five days per week, up to four or five hours per day. This would ideally be in the mornings – but there can be flexibility around start and end times.
This is an ideal opportunity to build on your existing experience and you will join a supportive and busy team. You’ll receive great training and be able to make this role your own. You’ll work on your own initiative whilst gaining understanding of an international charity, working with multi-currencies and gaining exposure to all aspects of Treasury. To succeed in this role, you will need:
Existing experience of reconciliations in a treasury, banking or purchase ledger role
High level of IT skills especially in accounting and banking systems and Excel
Highly organised with an appreciation of meeting deadlines
Willingness to develop in depth finance systems skills and knowledge
Logical approach to problem solving and process redesign
Excellent attention to detail with a high standard of integrity
Comfortable engaging with other members of staff to resolve issues and agree processes that work for the benefit of the team
Able to engage with senior stakeholders in the absence of line manager
Prior experience of working with Kyriba and SUN would be helpful but isn’t essential
