Amnesty International recrute un(e) Responsable de l’engagement des supporters au niveau mondial au Royaume-Uni.
JOB PURPOSE
This role will play a central role in harnessing the energy of the most active international members and supporters (IMs), so they can contribute meaningfully to Amnesty’s goals. The role will create opportunities for IMs to deepen their engagement and participate more, as part of larger campaign projects or as separate initiatives. The role will work closely with activism and youth teams, to ensure that regional and global work is supported and aligned. The role will pilot new ways to involve IMs more in decision making in the movement (governance models) and look for regular opportunities to consult and involved IMs in strategy and decision making. It will also manage existing governance systems and directly recruit and support membership representatives. They will share this experience and knowledge with Sections in the movement. The role will focus on international members and supporters (IMs) who live in countries where Amnesty International does not have a formal presence. However, it will also support priority Sections to improve consultation and governance approaches.
ABOUT YOU
As an experienced digital marketer, you will have knowledge of producing content for email marketing, both in English and at least one other of Amnesty’s core languages, French, Spanish, and Arabic. You will be able to analyse data and produce reports for digital engagement, using this data to propose strategies to increase the engagement of audiences around the world, and will have a strong commitment to promoting Amnesty International’s mission.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- To help grow and develop new and existing global online audiences and increase their engagement and participation in Amnesty’s global campaigns and activities;
- To write and produce compelling human rights content, that inspires, empowers and mobilizes our audiences to get involved in our global campaigns and activities, primarily for HTML emails, but also for other content types when applicable (such as events presentation, video scripts, or other digital assets);
- To set up mass-mailing campaigns, by developing clear engagement and segmentation strategies, templating HTML emails, commissioning translations, proofreading content, adhering to quality and assurance processes; and monitoring engagement, analysing data, producing reports and evaluating projects;
- Leading on ‘Membership Development’: the development of new digital ways to engage our most active members, so they can get more involved in our work and develop their skills, eg. webinar series, developing people power initiatives, setting up community platforms, piloting digital membership IDs;
- Managing the IM Youth Advisory Board, which involves monthly calls, involving them in Amnesty projects, campaigns and consultations and new recruitment of members every 2 years.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Significant proven experience of digital marketing with expertise in email marketing;
- Excellent written communication skills in English, and proficiency in at least one of Amnesty’s core languages Arabic, Spanish and French;
- Experience in digital content creation, including copywriting for digital, namely for HTML emails;
- Experience in mass-mailing and CRM tools, preferable Engaging Networks;
- Demonstrated expertise in audience segmentation, split testing and response analysis and optimisation for email.
