We are looking for a Volunteer Transformation Manager to work within our Community Education team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside our volunteers and staff to develop and implement a strategy to transform volunteering across the UK.
You will work with teams across the UK to lead on the development and delivery of innovative programmes to improve our volunteer availability, skills and roles to meet current demands and ensure our teams are ready for future challenges.

Work with volunteers, staff and stakeholders across the British Red Cross to deliver innovation in the role and impact of volunteers in the community education team.
Draw on the voice of our communities and our volunteer team to improve engagement, capacity and skills to ensure effective and impactful support to people in crisis.

The Community Education team develop learner-centric and evidence-based education products that develop people’s skills and confidence to contribute to community resilience, and act in a crisis. This is enabled by both face-to-face delivery, online resources and digital technology.
In the last year, Community Education reached more than 1.12 million people through educational resources and 106,000 people through direct delivery (both online and face to face in person) education of first aid and humanitarian education.
Our vision is to provide lifesaving and life-changing education that builds personal and community resilience and equip as many people as possible with the knowledge and skills to be able to act effectively in the event of a crisis.
You will have the following skills/experience:
Experience of volunteering and working with volunteers in a humanitarian or social policy context ;
Able to confidently communicate to a diverse team and understand the needs of local services as well as national contexts ;
Ability to use data to conduct analysis and draw insight to inform plans and programmes;
You will be up for the challenge of working in a fast paced, agile focused team ;
Delivering and designing a transformational strategy.
