Malaria Consortium is recruiting for a part-time Research Update Manager to join our team in London, UK.
The Research Uptake Manager is an important, high level role that will maximise the impact of the research generated by the Research Programme; to develop policy-influencing strategies linked to evidence and learning from research conducted through the RPC.
We are looking for an indiviudal to work 2.5 days a week on a fixed term contract that is expected to last 4.5 years.
The successful candidate will have :
- MSc in Entomology, Public Health, Global Health, Epidemiology or a related research discipline with a substantial quantitative research component ;
- Substantial experience in research design and management; experience in operational/implementation research ;
- Strong skills in communicating scientific / development research to non-research audiences ;
- Knowledge of the policy and practice environment in vector control and current debates within the research discipline ;
- Demonstrable understanding of the broader RU theory of change i.e. the barriers to uptake experienced by decision-makers as well as the challenges of communicating research ;
- Skills in developing a range of outputs for communicating research – in print, electronic and face-to-face format.
