The Role:

We are looking for a New Partnerships Manager to join Oxfam’s Private Sector Partnerships team. This is an exciting position in a high-performing, supportive, and ambitious team.

You will be responsible for developing new impact-focused partnerships with companies and brands, resulting in funding for Oxfam’s work to tackle poverty and inequality around the world.

Working closely with technical experts, programme staff and Oxfam’s leadership team, you will connect with and create mutually rewarding relationships with leading companies.

What we are looking for:

Our next New Partnerships Manager will have experience of working for a charity in a funding or partnerships role or in the private sector in a marketing, sales or corporate social responsibility role. You will have a successful track record of securing six and seven-figure partnerships, combined with excellent relationship building, project management, and communication skills.

We’re looking for someone with the tenacity, confidence and interpersonal skills to create new strategic relationships that deliver income and impact for Oxfam.

You will care about Oxfam’s mission to end poverty and be personally aligned to our feminist principles and the values of empowerment, accountability and inclusion in all you do.

The ideal candidate for the role will have:

  • A commercial outlook based on experience developing and securing six and seven figure partnerships in a commercial or charity setting.
  • A proactive, creative, and strategic thinker – able to generate new initiatives, drive forward new business opportunities and move a pipeline of prospects through the partnership process.
  • A confident communicator with the ability to develop and deliver presentations to a range of audiences in an inspiring and engaging way.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce clear and persuasive proposals and reports.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship building skills, including listening, questioning, building rapport and understanding the needs and values of individuals and organisations.

In addition, the candidate will also ideally have:

  • Knowledge and understanding of corporate fundraising, cause-related marketing and corporate social responsibility.
  • Existing knowledge of and network of contacts within the Food and FMCG sectors
  • Knowledge and understanding of the international development sector and key sustainability issues relevant to Oxfam’s work.
