TOTAL recruits a Product Safety Executive (SDS) Author
Authoring
- Responsible for the creation of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for operating affiliates in compliance with relevant global regulations and company policies
- Authoring and maintenance of Corporate and Local APMO SDS for Lubricants based on UMDS process
- Authoring of local APMO SDS for BU: special fluids, ACS, Bitumen, main products and delegated specialties based on the request of the corporate author
- Authoring and maintenance of localization of EU SDS
- Ensure SDS is available on intranet and internet
- Maintenance of SDS such that it meets the country’s validity period
- GHS label synchronization with SDS publication/republication and tracking of changes
- Communicate and Respond to Affiliate SDS and GHS Label requirements in accordance with team priorities
- Requesting translations from affiliates for phrases in SDS software
- Writing WIS (Workplace Information Sheet)
- Review and assist changes on section 1 of the published SDS
- Follow up KPI on all BU activities (Number of SDS published / republished, SDS treatment delays, Number of SDS received incomplete)
- Follow up all SDS anomalies
- In charge of maintenance of writing SDS guide and process
- Work on SDSs using SDS database software
- Labelling control upon PS request
- Provide Training on GHS and DG regulations
- Getting local raw material SDS for COR supplier and ensuring data is consistent/legit/valid.
Data maintenance in the software
- Collaborate closely with Corporate MSDS authors and SPHERA administrative team in Paris
- Manage and maintain the product information and contents such as phrases, or regulatory elements in the software allowing the creation of SDS
- Implement under management direction any change required to ensure full regulatory compliance and regulatory updates in SDS data base software
Candidate profile
- Bachelor Degree in Chemistry or other science/engineering degree is necessary
- Ideally with some experience with SDS authoring or with handling petroleum products
- Fluent in English
- Understands and is familiar with applicable chemical regulations in Asia Pacific
- Communication skills, meticulous, and able to work in multi cultural environment.
