  1. The Federal Government of Somalia has received financing through the Intergovernmental Development Authority “IGAD” from the African Development Bank hereinafter called the Bank toward the cost of the Drought Resilience and Sustainable Livelihoods Program– Program II (DRSLP II), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Reconstruction/ rehabilitation of Mogadishu Water Agency Building in Mogadishu, Somalia.
  1. Save the Children Somalia Country Office now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Reconstruction/ rehabilitation of Mogadishu Water Agency Building in Mogadishu, Somalia for a period of 8 months.
  1. Bidding will be conducted through the Open Competitive Bidding (National), OCBN procedures as specified in the Bank’s Procurement Framework dated 1st January 2016 and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Framework.
  1. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Save the Children Somalia Country Office via email – [email protected] and inspect the Bidding document during office hours at the address given below.
  1. The Bidding document in English may be obtained by interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below or a request via email to [email protected] quoting IFB reference DRSLPII/SS/W1/OCBN/001/2021 in the subject line and upon payment of a non – refundable fee of USD 25 for publication and mailing costs “if bidder requires physical receipt of bidding documents”. The method of payment will be direct payment to SCI Somalia Country office. The bidding documents sent via email will not require payment of fees.
  1. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 14 July, 2021 10: 00 AM EAT. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 14 July, 2021, 10: 00 AM EAT.
  1. All Bids must be accompanied by a bid security in the form of an unconditional bank guarantee using the format provided in the bidding documents or similar format acceptable to the employer and in the amount of USD 15,000.
  1. Attention is drawn to the Procurement Framework requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
