This is why TotalEnergies installed naturally its European trading hub across oil and biofuels, natural gas and electricity in Geneva, which now bring together very large teams around trading activities: Trading & Shipping (T&S) and TotalEnergies Gas and Power (TGP).
To bring the digital transformation of TotalEnergies Gas & Power to the next chapter, we are building a new team: the Digital Transformation & Innovation team. In this context, we are looking to hire our Digital Transformation & Innovation Leader who will be reporting to our Head of Digital Transformation & Innovation

What you will do

  • Promote the digital ambition of TGP and contribute to build the digital strategy for Gas,Power and LNG Trading
  • Manage and Monitor the implementation of disruptive digital initiatives in line with TGP’s digital strategy
  • Work with IDS teams, with the Branch and with the Group Digital Factory to leverage their digital abilities
  • Contribute to the governance of data assets
  • Contribute to improve data capture, data analytics and data visualization within the business
  • Work effectively with the internal software factory, act as Product Owner in agile setup
  • Act to accelerate the business digital transformation and cloud computing adoption
  • Drive the adoption of automation technologies improving operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with all departments and assist the business in leveraging new digital approaches and technologies
  • Promote digital networking and standardization of approaches, participate to the development of transversal networks and digital communities
  • Measure efficiencies and ROI of new digital initiatives
  • Explore new trends and technologies and put in place advanced analytical and predictive tools when applicable
  • Develop ways to attract and retain top talents

Job dimension

  • Responsible for driving the digital strategy of Gas&Power trading ;
  • Develop and administer the digital projects portfolio ;
  • Leverage digital tools and technologies for the implementation of innovative solutions in order to create business value ;
  • Foster digital innovation in the organisation in coordination with innovation and digital initiatives in the Branch and the Group ;
  • Contribute to practice development initiatives, including culture building, internal community development (e.g Data Scientist network),Support the teams across the organization and locations in implementing disruptive models and in change management activities ;
  • Collaborate with IT to improve core software solutions for the trading desks and risk control and ensure alignment with the digital strategy.

 

Context and environment

The Trading Division (TGP) is responsible for the development and the management of a portfolio of commercial outlets for natural gas, natural gas liquids, shale gas, liquefied natural gas, power, emissions certificates, and dry bulk products in Europe, the United States and Asia.
The fast-paced trading environment requires the jobholder to work autonomously and within the team. Position requires daily interactions with other departments within the organization notably Front Office, Market Research, Middle Office, Back Office, Finance and Compliance. Industry and contractual deadlines have to be met requiring a good ability to plan and work under time pressure.

Candidate profile

  • Master degree or equivalent in Data Science, Digital, Data Analytics, Digital Transformation or related discipline ;
  • You have gained a minimum of 6 years of professional experience and have proven track record in leading digital transformation ;
  • You are a digital native with strong analytical and information technology skills: data analytics, AI/machine learning, cloud computing
  • Python or R programming skills are required ;
  • Having knowledge in Power BI, Alteryx, MongoDb will be seen as strong advantage ;
  • You have knowledge of trading and / or energy industry and have gained some work experience in at least one of these sectors ;
  • Sound verbal and written communication with great ability to convince in both French and English (fluent in English, French is a strong bonus) ;
  • Ability to work autonomously.
