Note: Discussions will be held with the selected candidate to determine a mutually agreeable and specific scope of work that draws from the points below:
1) Assess progress towards meeting Gavi strategic goals for vaccine programme support, such as use of evidence in country prioritisation decisions;
2) Conduct evidence mapping and syntheses;
3) Support Gavi collaborations and investments in vaccine programme support, such as reviewing country applications for Gavi funding for new vaccine introductions and preventive vaccination campaigns;
Assessing progress towards meeting Gavi strategic goals – includes working with Vaccine Programme team members as well as stakeholders in other departments and organisations to collect and assess data on Gavi Alliance progress towards vaccine support programme strategic goals. More specifically, this support could contribute towards:
o Assessing the proportion of country applications for Gavi new vaccine support that use evidence in decisions on vaccine prioritisations;
o Assessing the progress of Gavi new vaccine applications and new vaccine introductions;
o Developing summary materials on Gavi vaccine support programme progress, including memos, powerpoint presentations, etc.

Supporting Gavi collaborations with other organisations as well as decisions on and implementation of investments in Gavi new vaccine support. More specifically this support could contribute towards:
o Assessing Gavi new vaccine applications as part of Gavi Alliance screening prior to expert review by Gavi Independent Review Committee;
o Developing summary materials on Gavi new vaccine applications for Gavi Independent Review Committee, including memos, powerpoint presentations, etc.
Synthesising information relevant to key workstreams and activities, e.g., in support of the development of capacity strengthening approaches, new guidance documents and tools, evaluation and learning, and materials for technical consultations. Conducting literature reviews is often an instrumental area in lending this support.
Occasionally provide support to other activities/projects or to help out on day-to-day operational work including collaboration with other key stakeholders, investment mapping, etc.

Computer skills:
– Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (advanced preferable), Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
– Familiarity with databases utilised for performing a literature search is also an asset.
Other skills and experience:
– Excellent analytic thinking;
– Excellent written communication and presentation skills;
– Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative and flexibility.

– Fluency in English;
– Working knowledge of French or other UN language is desirable.

– Completion of an undergraduate degree.
