The Position:
The work of the Finance Analyst is related to the cross-border operation. It enables financial integrity as well as proper OFA management. You will supervise and collaborate with the Administrative Associate, the Humanitarian Logistics Assistant and work closely with the Programme Associates at the Gaziantep Office. Internal contacts include the Humanitarian Advisor, the CO’s administrative management team, and the Gaziantep’s technical team.
You will report to the UNFPA Humanitarian RH Advisor.

Job Purpose:
You will deliver quality financial services to internal and external clients mastering all relevant rules, guidelines, processes and procedures. You will take a client-oriented results-
focused approach to interpreting the rules, procedures and guidelines, provide support and guidance to the Gaziantep Office and UNFPA-supported projects.
Education:
- Advanced degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in business administration, finance, accounting or other related fields.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Two years of progressively responsible professional experience in accounting, finance, budget or administration ;
- Knowledge of financial and budgetary principles and practices, budget development and financial administration of resources ;
- Familiarity with UN procedures and working methods is highly desirable ;
- Knowledge of International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) is desirable ;
- Certification as a Certified Public Accountant, (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent is desirable ;
- Proficiency in current office software applications and corporate ERP/Peoplesoft systems.
Languages:
Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
