Secours Islamique France (SIF) is a Non-Governmental Organization of international solidarity based in France. Founded in 1991, SIF is a non-profit and non-political organization that intends to help, to bring relief and to protect the lives of those threatened by natural disasters, armed conflicts or by economic collapse. SIF provides its help in respect of the cultural diversity, without any distinction of origin, religion or gender.
Since 2019, SIF is an active partner in Yemen leading many activities in the area of food Security and livelihoods.
The country is also affected by COVID-19 situation. In this tragic context, SIF brought a solution to 1610 displaced persons leaving in extreme uncertainty, by responding to their basic needs with a regular food aid distribution.
To prevent risks linked to the COVID 19 pandemic, 400 emergency hygiene kits that cover the needs of 2800 persons have been distributed, and prevention messages on best hygiene practices have been shared. Those 400 families also received food packages during the ramadan period.
Secours Islamique France is looking for a Programme manager based in Aden, Yemen.
He/she is responsible for:
- Leading the development and implementation of the emergency program strategy to ensure SIF is positioned as a first line responder.
- Contributing to identify and secure institutional donor’s funding;
- Designing, implementing and monitoring SIF’s emergency programming in Yemen;
- Under the guidance of the Head of Mission, leading on representation of SIF with relevant program stakeholders in the country.
- Managing day-to-day communication with field teams and providing general guidance on field activities implemented by staff and/or partners.
- Providing training, mentoring and capacity building to SIF staff;
- Guaranteeing the respect of SIF procedures, policies and best practices.
Expériences / Formation
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (Humanitarian program Management, Public Administration, Business Administration,Developmental Studies, International Relations, Social Sciences, etc);
- 2 years of experience working with an INGO in emergency programming or programming with significant distribution activities;
- Experience in capacity building and training;
- Significant experience implementing multi-sectoral humanitarian programmes including cash transfer programming, needs assessment and market analysis;
- Experience of the humanitarian coordination system, humanitarian standards and principles, and humanitarian accountability initiatives;
- Strong team and personnel management skills, including security management;
- Fluent spoken and written English.
Working conditions:
- Starting date : As soon as possible;
- French fixed term contract : 4 months;
- Remuneration according to our salary grid;
- Monthly perdiem;
- Social and medical cover (SIF contributes to 60% of the insurance);
- Guesthouse;
- R&R to your homecountry for your 6 months breaks;
- Leaves every 3 months.
