Save the Children recruits a FSL Officer – (200003CY) in Hodieda
Scope of role:
Reports to : FSL Program Coordinator
Staff reporting to this post: FSL assistant.
Budget Responsibilities:None
Key areas of responsibility:
- Responsible for FSL activities implementation in the targeted districts and supervise FSL assistants to carry a high quality implementation.
- Responsible for compilation of project data and sharing regular reports and updates to the FSL Program Manager.
- Ensure high quality of implementing CFW actvities in the field.
- Responsible for compilation of project information and sharing regular reports and updates to FSL Program Manager.
- Ensure correct beneficiary selection procedures and criteria are followed by FSL Assistants.
- Ensure any feedback from beneficiaries or target communities shared by FSL Assistants are appropriately responded to and raised to FSL Program Manager.
- Coordinate with Logistics, Finance, and MEAL teams to make sure they know exact distribution timetable and beneficiary numbers so that cash/vouchers are available / redeemed in the required locations at the required times.
- Ensure FSL Assistants understand and check the quality of information collected.
- Compile data and share with relevant staff in a timely manner.
- Works closely with community development committee to ensure effective coordination and ensure the most vulnerable people are targeted and no overlap occurs.
- Ensure coordination with local authorities and communities to facilitate the activities and tasks.
- Responsible for generating lessons learned and success stories.
- Any other tasks as assigned by the line manager.

Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a discipline such as social sciences, geography, anthropology, business administration, economics or other discipline relevant to .urban/rural livelihoods.
Total Work Experience (In Yrs):
- Two years of experience while working with development or humanitarian agencies.
Sector Experience (In Yrs):
- One year experiences in food security and livelihood interventions (food / commodity distribution, cash transfers, CFW).
Skills:
- High sense of responsibility.
- Good administrative and organizational skills.
- Solid understanding of project cycle management.
- Background in Food Security Activities (Voucher/cash transfer, Food distribution, Agriculture, Livestock, Monitoring, Assessment, etc)
- Good knowledge of the culture and dialect of the area of intervention.
- Skills related to participatory research methods, and computer literacy.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively to the field, under sometimes difficult and occasionally insecure circumstances.
- Communication skills to operate with a multinational and multilingual teams.
- Very good computer knowledge (Excel, Word, and preferably photoshop).
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Ability to represent SCI in meetings with local authorities and other stake holder.
