Organizational context
These jobs are found in Country Offices (COs), Regional Bureaux (RBs), and Headquarters (HQ). The Job holders report to a Head of the Unit, Chief or Information Technology Officer.
At this level job holders are expected to demonstrate responsibility and initiative to respond independently to queries with only general guidance. There is a requirement to use judgment in dealing with unforeseen problems on a daily basis. Job holders are expected to manage resources and coach and coordinate a team of support staff.
Job purpose
To coordinate and guide Information Technology maintenance and support activities to enable the effective delivery of IT services.
Key accountabilities (not all-inclusive)
- Provide in-field technical support during the beneficiary registration activities and distribution of food assistance using SCOPE mobile solutions at various registration and distribution points and ensure on daily basis, the registered data and transactions and uploaded in SCOPE.
- Ensure and/or perform accurate, timely data quality checks on individuals and household information collected during various phases (Targeting) and Beneficiary registration and rectify any identified issues.
- Provide technical support and assist in the setup of the registration site in close collaboration with all involved stakeholders, the configuration of SCOPE devices.
- Coordinate and communicate with all stakeholders (Internal and External) to perform and ensure smooth beneficiary registration for efficient delivery of assistance.
- Provide training and support to WFP staff, cooperating partners, enumerators on registration strategies and the digitization of beneficiary information systems.
- Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Desired experiences for entry into the role
- Has experience analysing service management results and development service enhancement recommendations.
• Has participated in business process re-engineering efforts and identified service management improvements.
• Has experience participating in country office procurement/budgeting process.
Standard minimum qualifications
Education: Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area. Technical Degree in computer sciences or tertiary equivalent (for Network Administrator).
Language: Fluency (level C) in English language. Fluency (level C) in Arabic language.
Experience: Five or more years of progressively responsible work experience in the relative business stream with experience in general administrative work.
